SwimAmerica™is a national learn-to-swim program operated by the
American Swimming Coaches Association.
Our goal is to teach your child to swim quickly, proficiently and to learn to love swimming for health, safety, fitness & fun!
With SwimAmerica, water safety comes first! Our lesson plans are designed to teach the critical swim skills your child needs to be safe in and around the water for a lifetime!
Students advance at their own pace from water adaptation to very advanced swimming skills through 10 stations, with an emphasis on correct learning from the very first lesson!
We reward your child's effort at every phase of their swimming progression which builds their confidence and desire to learn. They’ll each receive a waterproof certificate and stickers with each level attained!
To swim well is an asset for life. Lots of organizations and individuals teach swimming lessons. And you may pay less than you will at SwimAmerica. But we don't just teach lessons. WE TEACH PEOPLE HOW TO SWIM!
For children ages 3 and 4 years old. Very small class sizes: the student to instructor ratio is 3:1, maximizing safety and fun. For the young beginning swimmer who is brand new to the water, they will work on gradual water adaptation and acclimation. For our more advanced little ones, they will be learning life-saving skills such as bobbing, floating, gliding, kicking, "big arm" freestyle and water safety skills such as rolling over to back (pancakes) and swimming to the wall. Every effort will be made to group those with similar skill levels together, however, sometimes skill levels may vary quite widely. Children should be comfortable separating from parents, able to follow directions and take turns.
SwimAmerica lessons are a progression style teaching program consisting of 10 stations that allows each student to advance at their own pace. To find which level your child should start at, please click on Beginner, Intermediate, or the Advanced tabs based on your son or daughter's current swimming ability. Then please read the class descriptions to find the appropriate class to start your child in. Emmaus Aquatic Club reserves the right to move your child based on their maturity and ability.
If you are unclear on what class to register for, please contact us at emacswimschool@rcn.com.
Our Summer 2013 lessons are held at both facilities: Our outdoor facility at Emmaus Aquatic Club and the indoor aquatic center at Steel Fitness Premier at 250 Cetronia Road in Allentown. Please double check to make sure you register for your desired location.
