EMMAUS AQUATIC CLUB COMPETITIVE PROGRAMMING

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS -
The Emmaus Aquatic Club (EMAC) is organized and registered as a Non-Profit Corporation in the
State of
Pennsylvania. The purpose of EMAC shall be to provide the opportunity for all age groups to
participate with a USA Swimming or United States Diving Club. It shall further be EMAC's purpose to
provide a high quality recreational and competitive program that will allow its members the opportunity to
develop their skills to the highest level. The Club shall strive to gain local as well as national recognition for its
Club members.

1.       The Club cannot be held responsible for any injuries to its members during travel to and from
practice and meets. The Club is not responsible for any injuries or property damage occurring at any facility or grounds. The members of EMAC are responsible for all property damage which is committed by themselves or their children.

2.       All competitive members will abide by the Club's rules and regulations and the USA
Swimming/United States Diving rules and regulations.

3.       Quarterly Competitive member due)s are payable September 1, December 1, and March 1 for 3 months to EMMAUS AQUATIC CLUB, PO Box 3304, ALLENTOWN, PA. 18106-0304. Dues may not be prorated. ANY DUES MORE THAN 10 DAYS LATE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A PENALTY CHARGE. Optional monthly payments by automatic withdrawal are now available.

4.       Facility Fees apply to all memberships. A Facility Fee is a one-time non-refundable fee that is not paid again unless the membership has lapsed more than 2 months beyond the member's yearly anniversary date.

5.       It will be each competitor’s responsibility to pay his or her yearly membership to EMAC for USA Swimming or United States Diving. All competitive club members must be registered with USA Swimming or USD under EMAC’s name.

6.       ***All competitive club members are required to participate in at least one Swim-A-Thon per
year. **** As long as all members meet minimum Swim-A-Thon requirements other mandatory fundraisers will not be necessary. This makes the burden of fund raising as simple as possible for both the Club and the members. Age Group Swimmers are required to raise a minimum of $50, Senior Group Swimmers are required to raise a minimum of $100.

7.       A member may be expelled from the Club for:
a) Non-payment of dues, fees or expenses
b) Behavior at any facility or meets that is detrimental to the development of the Club or other members.
c) Failure to meet minimum fund raising requirements (competitive only)
d) Upon recommendation of the Facility Manager, Program Director, Aquatic Director,
Coach or coaches.

8.       A swimmer will be immediately expelled from EMAC for the consumption of alcohol or a controlled substance at practice, a meet, during travel to, or travel from a meet or any EMAC sponsored and/or related activity.

9.       It is the member's responsibility to contact the Club in writing of any intent to resign from the Club.
